Who’s Ready for Another Update?

Of my Bucket List!!! In honor of my 19th birthday, here it is:

1) start college (most definitely completed, almost done with a 3rd semester)

2) learn to play piano (never going to happen but I don’t have the will to remove it)

3) go to disneyland for the first time ever (woot, woot. Wish I could go again)

4) travel outside of the USA (We’ll see…)

5) earn young women in excellence award (um…yeah, good luck)

6) write a book (it’s inching along. very slowly)

7) sell one of my own photos (I’m really working on this. taking photography seminars and everything)

8) become a dancer. This probably isn’t what you think it is. I have redefined what being a dancer means to me. It means loving to dance and putting your heart and soul into your art. Becoming a true dancer isn’t about turnout, extension, flexibility, or pointe work to me. I might not become a talented dancer but I’ll be a true one. As Antonio Banderas said in Take the Lead, “Do you want to dance? Then you were made to dance.”

9) marry and have children (down the road obviously)

10) create my own blog (you’re here, aren’t you?)

11) actually write in my blog more than once in a blue moon (um, does Thankful November count? or is that cheating?)

12) learn spanish   nopenopenopenopenope

13) become more fluent in french (I’m trying)

14) learn to cook better (I’m in college, creative cooking is part of the job description)

15) get a job CHECK! I did have a job over the summer but I had to leave it behind when I went back to school (ah, the life of a college student)

ANY good ideas for what I can add to my bucket list? I’m looking for mostly short term goals that would be fun to do! (ANYTHING, HONESTLY?!)

Last of the Fold

I’ve been a little AWOL. In my defense, midterms. Moving on.

Jared! My lil’ bro. Jared is my last sibling. And our last name is Lamb (hence the title, I thought I  was being clever). Jared is 5 years younger than me and my only younger sibling. We were always the two little ones, the youngest siblings, little sister and little brother. I used to walk him to kindergarten and then I walked him to elementary school and then I was high school so school started at a different time so I wasn’t walking him anywhere. And now he’s in high school. My little brother can be the sweetest little thing ever. We would have talks late at night (when he should’ve been asleep) about anything from girls to video games to God. But he’s also a little terror. He gets into trouble in ways I could never have dreamed of (like stealing a soap dispenser from school. Just, why?) and he knows exactly which buttons to press to get on my nerves every time. But I love him and I am so thankful God decided that my parents needed one more child (they certainly didn’t plan that).

My Bucket List!!!

Sifting through my old posts (the few I have made) I decided to revisit my bucket list. I was surprised by how, in just a few short months, it had changed so much. So, I am updating my progress (or lack thereof) and adding new goals.

1) start college (DONE!)

2) learn to play piano (noooooooooooooo…… this one is sooo hard for me :()

3) go to disneyland for the first time ever CHECK!!! july 21, 2012

4) travel outside of the USA (still just a distant dream made sadder by the fact that my sister has beaten me to the punch)

5) earn young women in excellence award (way behind on this one…)

6) write a book (I have started….barely…)

7) sell one of my own photos (wanna buy one?…I swear they’re better than my writing skills)

8) become a professional dancer. I don’t need to go professional, I don’t want to anymore. The dance world is harsh. For now, I’ll go for just being in the local Nutcracker production. (I can’t do this till I graduate because it interferes with my school schedule)

9) marry and have children (eventually, not right now)(the distant future)

10) create my own blog CHECK!

11) actually write in my blog more than once in a blue moon *sheepish grin*

12) learn spanish (not really that interested in this one but it is more marketable/useful than french)

13) become more fluent in french (I know a little but I can’t understand it when it’s spoken)

14) learn to cook better (my aunt is one of those super homemaker/frugal/cooking-with-only-all-natural-stuff/super-crafty kind of ladies and she’s going to give me lessons)

15) get a job (I’m so pathetic, especially when it comes to interviews)

Any good ideas for what I can add to my bucket list? I’m looking for mostly short term goals that would be fun to do!
